Usage Data
TimeIvy is primarily an offline-first software. This means, most of the data that is collected is only stored locally on your computer.

For example, in order to automatically track which websites and apps you use every day, TimeIvy checks the currently active window on your computer. That way, whenever you switch to a new window, TimeIvy can properly categorize your activity and provide you with insights of your productivity and time usage.

All the data related the websites and apps you use is only stored locally on your own computer, not in our servers.

TimeIvy does not collect keyboard inputs, keystrokes, screenshots, screen recordings, window contents or any other sensitive data from your computer. User preferences allow you to ignore or fully delete all your data, at any moment.

Only data that is exclusively needed for the operation of the software or its features might be stored on our servers, always following best industry security standards. This might include, your email address (used for billing and communications), focus sessions, projects and tags (for your own progress reports and team features).

Cookies Data

We use cookies to distinguish and customize the experience of our users, when visiting our website.

You can always instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

Remoteful, Inc. will not transfer or provide access to your Personal Data to any third party except when under certain circumstances: a) if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. b) if we or our subsidiaries are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale or c) to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it, provide customer support or prevent illegal or harmful activity).

 

Security of Data

 

a. All data transmission between our customers and the Service always uses proper encryption in transit. Our system support some of the best practices to encrypt all data in transit, including (without being limited to) the use of TLS 1.2 protocols and AES-256 encryption.



b. Data and metadata at rest within our production systems is encrypted at the storage level using an industry standard AES-256 or AES 128 encryption algorithm. This applies to all types of data at rest within our production systems.

c. We do not store any critical data, such as payment details or passwords, from our customers. Credit card information is never stored by Remoteful, Inc. We use third party tools such as Paddle to store credit card details and Google Firebase as authentication method for passwords.


d. We continuously monitor for changes in the cryptographic landscape and upgrade our cipher suite choices as the landscape changes.

Your Data Protection Rights Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

According to CalOPPA we agree to the following:

 

  • users can visit our site anonymously;
  • our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy”, and can easily be found on the page specified above on the home page of our website;
  • users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page;

These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
